Blowme: A Snapchat Breathalyzer
Arguino IDE, After Effects
Blowme is a conceptual product developed for Snapchat, designed to help young people become more aware of their alcohol consumption in a fun and relatable way.
The project is based on field research at Ungdommens Folkemøde, which showed that alcohol often works as a shortcut to social confidence at parties, and that this confidence can quickly tip over into embarrassing situations.
The project explores how alcohol awareness can be communicated through social skills rather than abstract numbers.
The concept was developed in a interdisciplinary group. My role was the technical part of the project. I evaluated the possibilities and limitations of the concept and built a physical breathalyzer prototype that translates a BAC reading into real party situations and words describing how alcohol affects behavior.
